The centre offers coaching classes for Civil Service Examination of UPSC and Kerala Administrative Service Examination of Kerala Public Service commission. There are multiple batches in each course. The Kollam Centre has offered 10 different batches including both batches for Civil Service Examination and batches for Kerala Administrative Service Examination.

Prelims cum Mains
Batches (PCM)
The admission to these courses is reserved for aspirants who are graduated or post-graduated in any discipline. There are two spells of intake annually in June and in September. A variant of the course is also offered on weekends.

PCM – June Batch
(Regular)
The first batch of
the course is initiated in June. The classes happened from 10 AM to 1PM. The duration of the batch is form
the month of June to March.
PCM – September
(regular)
The second
batch is initiated in the month of September. The classes
happened from 10.00 AM to 1PM. The
duration of the batch is from September
to May.
PCM-Weekend
This course is offered for the convenience of working professionals over the weekends. The classes are conducted on Saturdays and Sundays. The duration of the course is from June to April.
Talent Development
Course (TDC)
The course
is intended to socialize student of class 8th to class 10th
to the Civil Service Examinations. The syllabus of TDC has been framed with a
view to develop multi-faceted talents in students so as to help them get into
the civil services later in their lives. The classes happen on all Sundays. The
course duration is for 7 months from July to February.
Civil Service Foundation
Course (CSFC)
The course
is intended for the students of plus one and plus two classes. Through the
classes basic information about general subjects including History, Polity,
Economics, Basic Science, Sociology, Indian Constitution of civil service
examination is imparted to students. In addition, training is also given on
mental ability, communication skills and reasoning. The course is offered on all Sundays. The
course duration is for 7 months from July to February.
Vacation Batches
The centre started functioning with two vacation
batches- the Talent Development Course (TDC) and the Civil Service Foundation
Course (CSFC). These courses are offered for students belong to of 8th
to 10th standard and Plus One and Plus Two classes respectively.
This was for duration of 2 months (April and May).
Kerala
Administrative service Examination courses
Government of Kerala announced Kerala Administrative
Service (KAS) Examination for the first time in the state in 2019. The
Examination was to be in three stages Prelims, Mains and Interview. A detailed
syllabus for the examination was also provided by the Public Service Commission
of Kerala. The preliminary examination was conducted in February 2020. Mains
and interview would follow.
To support the aspirants of the KAS examination, Kerala
State Civil Service Academy started dedicated prelims cum mains courses.
Following this, the Kollam Centre initiated two batches for the KAS examination
coaching on 18th November
2019. The course was inaugurated by Hon’ble District Collector, Kollam Shri.
Abdul Nazar IAS. The courses were designed according to the syllabus given
by the PSC. Specialized faculties were
selected for handling subjects including Kerala History, Kerala Economy, Kerala
Geography and Malayalam language.
KAS Evening Batch
This batch is started for working professionals and
students who found it convenient to attend classes in the evening after their
office time. The classes happened at the centre from 5PM to 8PM. The duration
of the course was for 3 months from November to February.
KAS Weekend Batch
This was offered to working professionals who had their
weekends free. The classes happened on Saturdays and Sundays from morning 9AM
to 5PM. The duration of the course was for 3 months from November to February.
